The 5SU1653-7KK13 is a Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent protection (RCBO) from Siemens, designed to provide comprehensive protection against both overload/short circuit and residual current faults. This RCBO has a breaking capacity of 4.5kA, suitable for residential and commercial applications where fault currents are relatively low. It features a 1P+N (one pole plus neutral) configuration, meaning it protects both the phase and neutral conductors. The device is a type A RCBO, which is sensitive to both AC and pulsating DC residual currents, offering enhanced protection against a wider range of fault types. With a residual current tripping sensitivity of 300mA, it provides a balance between protection against earth leakage faults and minimizing nuisance tripping. The RCBO has a C-characteristic tripping curve, making it suitable for circuits with moderate inrush currents, such as lighting and general-purpose circuits. Its rated current (In) is 13A, indicating the maximum continuous current it can carry without tripping under normal conditions. The rated voltage (Un) is 230V AC, which is the standard voltage for many residential and commercial power systems. This RCBO combines the functions of a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) and a Residual Current Device (RCD) in a single compact unit, saving space in the distribution board and simplifying installation. It is designed to protect people and equipment from electrical hazards, ensuring a safe and reliable electrical installation.
