The SIMOTICS S 1FK7040-5AK71-1EA2 is a compact synchronous servo motor designed for precision motion control applications. This motor delivers a continuous torque of 1.6 Nm and a power output of 0.69 kW, making it suitable for dynamic tasks. It is engineered for natural cooling, simplifying integration and reducing maintenance. The motor features an IM B5 flange mounting design (also compatible with IM V1 and IM V3 configurations) for versatile installation options. Electrical connections are facilitated by a rotatable power/signal connector plug, adjustable up to 270 degrees for flexible cable routing. An absolute encoder ENDAT 2048 P/REV (encoder A-2048) provides high-resolution position feedback. Note that the absolute encoder causes a 10% performance reduction. The shaft includes a fitted key with tolerance N, ensuring secure mechanical power transmission. This model does not include a holding brake and offers IP65 protection on the flange and IP67 protection on the drive end, safeguarding against dust and water ingress.
