The 3RN1010-2BM00 from Siemens is a phased-out thermistor motor protection standard evaluation unit. While no longer available, its function was designed for AUTO-RESET capabilities. It operates with a 2 W power consumption at 230 V AC. This unit is specifically designed to protect motors from overheating by monitoring the temperature of thermistors embedded within the motor windings. When the thermistor detects an over-temperature condition, the 3RN1010-2BM00 triggers a protective action, such as shutting down the motor. The auto-reset feature allows the unit to automatically reset after the motor has cooled down to a safe operating temperature. Please note that the preferred successor for this product is the 3RN2010-2BW30. Consider the 3RN2010-2BW30 for new installations or replacements.
