The 5WG1262-1EB11, also known as the N 262E/11, is a GAMMA instabus binary input device designed by Siemens. This device serves as an interface, connecting potential-free contacts to the KNX/EIB bus system. It allows the integration of conventional switches, push buttons, and other binary sensors into a smart building automation system. Featuring 16 independent input channels, the N 262E/11 can monitor the status of up to 16 different devices or sensors. Each input is designed for floating contacts, ensuring reliable signal detection. The device has a compact design, occupying only 6 modular width units (6 MW) on a DIN rail. This compact size allows for efficient use of space in electrical distribution boards. The N 262E/11 is powered directly from the KNX bus, simplifying installation and reducing wiring complexity. Configuration and parameterization are performed via the ETS (Engineering Tool Software), enabling flexible adaptation to specific application requirements. This binary input device enhances the functionality and intelligence of building automation systems by enabling the monitoring and control of various devices and sensors.
